On Thursday, April 20, from 6-8 pm, Brunswick County Early College’s chapter of the National Honor Society will be hosting the second annual benefit concert. This year’s benefit is helping out the family of a fourteen year old boy that goes to Town Creek Middle School. According to Josie Tharp, who is one of the coordinators for this event, Someone in NHS reached out to her with this cause, and she felt that it was the perfect fit for this year’s benefit concert. He had a heart surgery in December and will need multiple more procedures and continuous medical care. He will have many more surgeries, and his family is in need of stable housing, access to doctors, and community support.

This concert is focused on raising money for his medical care and helping the family get back on their feet during these trying times. If anyone is interested in helping this cause or if you are able to donate to it, please let us know.   Also, let us know if you are interested in attending the concert on April twentieth at Odell Williamson auditorium.
