North Carolina 4-H Youth Voice
Every year, NC 4-H partners with the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners to increase youth involvement in county government. This initiative helps youth learn more about county government as well as how to become more involved in local decision-making.
On Monday, Brunswick County 4-Her, Autumn Hatcher, attended the County Commissioner’s Meeting to give a presentation on her own 4-H journey this year as well as her academic accomplishments and future goals. Autumn has a goal of participating with 4-H through her high school career and attending N.C. State University after graduation to pursue degrees in Biology & Animal Sciences. Autumn will attend the 2023 NCACC Youth Voice Summit in August to meet other 4-Hers across the state and County Commissioners, learn more about local government, and participate in fun
workshops with 4-H peers!
Your Brunswick County 4-H team is so proud of Autumn for having the courage to speak at the Commissioner’s Meeting and we loved hearing about her 4-H journey through her own words!
