Is deforestation bad? Yes and no, which is what makes this a hard topic to write or talk about, but there are more negatives than positives. What are the negative effects of deforestation? Great question; however, the answer isn’t so simple but to put it simply, it kills our trees. What’s so bad about killing trees? We need trees not just for wood but for syrup, apples, and other things we all enjoy! Another negative is that without trees we can’t have beautiful landscapes anymore. Also if we run out of trees, what will we use next?
So those are the negatives but what about the positives? The positives of deforestation are homes. Homelessness is one of our leading world problems and without making homes from wood, they have nowhere to live. That’s not the only positive that comes from deforestation. Deforestation also creates farmland and more jobs for people who need jobs.
Every day more and more trees are being cut down in the Leland area. They are cut down to make more things like houses, shopping centers, etc. While making new jobs and new homes are important, we can’t be sure they are helping our environment. There is always a con to a pro. The animals in the area are forced to leave their homes to make more homes for us. This sounds a little unfair.
In conclusion, is deforestation bad? Yes, I have found more negatives than positives, and although it’s up for speculation, we need trees. What are we going to do when all of the trees are gone? Are we going to plant more? While that is a possibility and some companies do this, there is no guarantee it will work. There could be seeds that do not grow and what if there are no seeds? Some companies are trying to help deforestation by using an area of land to plant trees then cutting those trees down and repeating until they have all the wood, this is a good idea; however, most people are impatient. This article is to help people like you reading to realize that cutting down trees is wrong and needs to be more controlled. I realize we also need trees to make buildings and things like that but there is no need to cut down all of the trees without planting new ones.
