There is something raw and open about love.
It destroys and creates, it’s destructive and cruel while it can also be beautiful and pure. It can tear down walls of vulnerability and shake the willpower of even the most guarded hearts, it can make you wish you never knew it but will still have you begging for more.
You can vow to never want it or promise to avoid it but it finds you in every dark corner you hide. It can bend your rules while also mending them. It can mend your humanity and also break your morality, it squeezes you until every truth you hide is revealed and it’ll lie to you until all the lies it speaks feel real.
You crave it, you worship it, and you hate it with all your heart but you’ll cradle it close just to keep from falling apart. It cuts you open until the threads of denial break under its gaze but it will respect and cherish your heart until your last days. It is beauty, it is pain, it is your heart, mind, and soul. It will always be love, raw and open, until the earth grows old.
