After a long day of playing with her dog, Max, Ellie decided to go to the nearby woods to take Max out for a walk. She knew the forest by heart, but Max did not. Ellie went down the stairs from her room and started toward the woods.

Ellie strode down the forest with Max by her side and eventually wandered toward a river that was filled with fresh water that had tons of fish. Beside that was an abandoned wooden cabin they could take supplies from if needed on their walk.

Ellie decided to catch fish for food so she could share with Max, and because Max was drooling. So Ellie ran to try and catch something, which she knew she would. But first, she tied Max’s leash to a nearby fence and went to explore the abandoned cabin.

“Wow, that door must be held in pretty tightly,” Ellie said in shock by the weight of the door.

She used all her weight to push the door open and the second she opened it, something felt off, maybe it was the way a doll in there stared, or maybe, it was the self-lit chest that was next to a non-lit lamp. Or it could be the fact she forgot to give Max a doggie treat before leaving.
