Mirror Mirror,
On the wall, who is the fairest of them all?
With eyes that sparkle in the midnight sun,
Oh how beauty is fare and mysterious
Speaking with poise and elegance
As she opens her mouth, spilling wisdom for all to hear,
Having a caring soul, her heart beats with the rhythm of love, for people and this broken world.
Tell me what reflection do you truly see?
Is It I who is looking into the cortex of my soul,or is it the mere reflection of my inner child coming out to play?
Or possibly an made up allusion tricking my eyes to believe that it’s the real me,
The possibilities are endless..
Is the woman staring back at me mother time reminding me that time is a fleeting thing, and I should get all my ducks in a roll, before being called home.
Only time will tell, or maybe she’s a close companion I once knew in a previous lifetime.
The woman staring back at me begins to age like old wine, as she puts her winkle hand against the glass and looks straight at me.
Reminding me that if I take the time to look within myself, I can appreciate my flaws, and quarks within.
Being a great teacher of acceptance and love..
The true lesson of life is it’s not about perfection, but my ability to truly see myself as a masterpiece rather than a damsel in distress.
Finding freedom of becoming my authentic self, and living life to the fullness.
