Imagine Mr. Clark running a worldwide cult. He is Magnus Clarkus Augustus, and we are all one of his top 100 students (this semester). Well, for a certain few this “idealistic” structure has warped into reality.
History teacher Christian Clark has unknowingly found himself a victim of the idolization of a group of ECHS freshmen. In his own words, he finds this behavior “very creepy” and made it a point to say: “For the record, I am against all cult-like behavior, specifically when it has something to do with me.”
His followers don’t seem to share this same opinion though. There have been many reports of shrines, prayers, and “other unusual behavior.” Their dedication has been made very clear.
But, if Mr. Clark were to hypothetically support and have his own cult, how would he want it to be structured?
He states that he would want his cult to be built on “individual logic and reason,” meaning that members would be encouraged to be as independent and free-thinking as possible. Under the cult of Magnus Clarkus Augustus, you would be subject to an honest attempt at an ethical capitalist economy. He defines this as “capitalism with fair rules” or “[one having laws] in an attempt to make opportunities more available to all citizens.”
Would you enjoy being a part of the cult of Mangus Clarkus Augustus? Or would you lead a rebellion against his rule? Furthermore, would you take that extra step to bring the idea to reality like his followers?
