Before the Internet, meeting a girl was much different.. 1
About a hundred years ago, when I was young,
Before this Internet thing had begun,
With its Dating Sites, for the “remote”,
This is what I would have wrote:
“If you haven’t found Mr. Right, and you don’t know why,
Perhaps what you need, is a Super-Guy,
My superpower is, my love so true,
Here are a few things that I would do…
I would run thru the jungle and swing from the trees,
To meet a girl like Jane, to party with me…
I would leap over buildings and fly like a plane,
Just to meet a nice girl, like Lois Lane…
I’d live in a cave, like they did in B. C.,
To meet a girl like Eve, to “Garden Party” with me…
Or, I’d find the forest where the dwarfs go to play,
And meet Snow White… wouldn’t that be great?
Yeah, that sure would be great!
I could be number EIGHT!!!
I don’t claim to be Tarzan or Superman,
Just an ordinary guy with a simple plan,
I’m not looking for a princess or a damsel in distress,
Just an ordinary girl who will give me her best…
And I’ll be the hero she’s been hoping to find,
I’ll be her “Save the Day”, “Forever True”,
“Ordinary Super Guy…”
But, there wasn’t any Internet, back when I met my wife,
Or, crazy Dating App to complicate my life,
We met like people do, the old fashion way,
She’ll always be my Cinderella, and thinks I’m Super great!!!
The End Logged Out.
