Rheann Mills, a student at BC Early College High School, recently noticed a pumpkin on the campus’s grounds. It seemed very out of place, and it was not even close to Halloween or Thanksgiving. So, what’s up?
She did some snooping around, interviewed students about what they knew, and then decided to write a story about it. And what a story it was!
Rheann’s story broke a mark for The Teen Scene. It became the first article to exceed a thousand hits!
Earlier this year, I told our editors I would like to give a $25 check to the top student writer each month with over 100 hits. As you can see, Rheann blew that out. Congratulations.
I understand there is going to be a follow-up story now that the pumpkin is missing.
