America’s Anthem – A Fourth of July Poem

Tis thee our country

Sings  its song of liberty

Oh what beauty

Is behold

The strips woven

With love

Tis thee our country sings of liberty

Rings for freedom

As soldiers

Give their lives

In defending

This great country

Tis thee our country sings

Its song of liberty

As we lift our voices to the heavens

Sowing brotherhood

As God,

Looks down upon

His people;

And country

Tis thee our country sings

Its song of liberty

Upholding the torch of

Unity

And the belief of those who

came before us

How America’s anthem

Still rings true today

That all people are created equally

Kaitlyn, you’ve so uniquely captured the spirit and pride we should all celebrate on this very important holiday. Nicely done!
