It’s that time of year again—time to return to school. As you file your fun memories away, does it seem your summer was shorter this year? Or was it the rainy days, keeping you indoors instead of enjoying fun in the sun that seemed to shorten your freedom from school?
On your journey through school years, no two years are alike any more than summer vacations are alike. The one similarity is that you should maximize each moment of each day toward your goal: summer fun and school knowledge.
Both summer vacation and the school year can be viewed as writing a short story. Each day you begin with a new page, and each week a new chapter until your stories are completed at the end of summer or the school term. Your short stories compiled together form a volume of work at graduation. Your task is to be certain your stories reflect the sum of your knowledge gained in a positive, creative, and insightful manner.
Be prepared to publish your book of short stories. Make each story one worth writing!
