The meaning of life is simple,
It’s all about me and you,
And how we need each other,
In everything we do,
If you were the only one on earth,
It wouldn’t matter what you did,
Or how well that you did it,
Without someone to share it with…
I’ve learned to live this life,
And take what comes along,
I’ve learned somebody’s right,
Can be someone else’s wrong,
I’ve learned somebody’s poem,
Can be someone else’s song,
When the message is pure and good,
We should always sing along…
I’ve learned that bad opinions,
Can be easily forgiven,
Some days are better than others,
But every one’s worth living,
I’ve learned to appreciate,
The things that I’ve been given,
You can’t cry to your mother,
When she’s no longer listening…
I’ve learned to get along,
With my sisters and my brothers.
I’ve learned to do my best,
And not worry about the others,
I’ve learned not to throw stones,
And when I should take cover,
I’ve learned that when a heart is good,
Inside may be a lover…
I’ve learned to face my problems,
I’m not the only one who’s got them,
I’ve learned they just don’t go away,
I should always try to solve them.
I’ve learned when times are rough,
Are the times we must get tough,
I learned we must work harder,
When what we have is not enough…
I’ve learned sometimes we’ll stumble,
But I’ve learned we must stay humble,
I’ve learned we can still triumph,
When the things around us crumble,
I’ve learned we all make mistakes,
But I believe that we all should,
Hold our heads up high,
For we are life, and life is good…
Just some things to think about,
And one more thought I have,
When we all work together,
The good outweighs the bad,
The meaning of life is simple,
It’s that everybody should,
Learn to accept each other,
For we are life, and life is good!
For we are life… and life is surely good! □
