“Do you know what happens at night?” One asked.

“Hahaha, no tellin’.” The other replied.

“Well, when I wake up in the night, my bones hurt.” The first says.

“Why’s that?” The second asks, tilting his head.

“I think the spirits running through my body left for a little while.”

“Huh? What do you mean? You sound crazy, man.” The second remarks.

The first shook his head, glancing away momentarily before coming back.

“No, listen. I think that when people die at night, the spirits get too tired or leave for too long. I think when they finally come back, they’ve found a new body. I think that’s life.” The first explains.

“I don’t know what you’re going on about.” The second retorts.

“No, no, listen. I think the galaxies swirling through the sky at night are the spirits that leave and play. I think the spirits have no age, and they are forever all the same age. Therefore, as this clarification goes, we are all the same age in the mind and through our blood. We all always will be. We all always are.” The first says.

“But that’s wrong. Some people don’t know as much as others.” Reasons the second.

“Maybe people don’t know it yet, but they will. Doesn’t mean the stardust swirling through their veins is any different from the comets blazing through the skies.”

“Okay, okay! Let’s say your explanation could be possible. It’s still a little far off, don’t you think?” Says the second.

“No, no, no, listen, listen! I think the spirits running through our veins and in our bones are all the same. I think your spirits and my spirits are the same. Therefore, a person is just a person, down to the core, no matter what changes his body has. A person doesn’t need to be a fixed label when each person can be anything. Therefore, a person’s value shouldn’t be found by their labels. Our stardust is all the same. Get it now?” The first says.

“I think I do. I think what you’re trying to say is basically, A is A. A person is a person, and even if they have different gender roles, they are still a person and can be what they want to be. Same for their preferences. I think I understand what you’re saying.” Smiles the second. “It’s kinda like you and me. We’re just people. We haven’t been defined.”

There was a pause.

“Well.. do you know what happens during the day?” Asks the second.

“Hahaha, no tellin’.” Replies the first.
