Brooke Nichols, our first Teen Editor, helped me build a credible product. She was a fantastic student and an even more amazing person.
Debbie Chennell, who helped me every step of the way. Jan Morgan-Swegle has done almost everything over the last few years. She has been the backbone of this effort.
So many outstanding students and teachers have been such a joy to work with, especially since moving to Leland. Gabriel Hughes and Josie Baroski, you two are among the
most amazing students I have ever had the pleasure to know. Such genius! You two will go far.
Ms. Laura Askue became a driving force of our success in Brunswick County. As a teacher at BC Early College High School, she has developed an Honors Journalism class
and a school newspaper since becoming a Teen Scene Board Member.
My heartfelt love and appreciation to those who have supported us in raising the funds necessary to keep this program going. Deb Pickett with Signature Wealth Strategies, Marybeth Livers
The Brunswick Arts Council and Paul Inferra of DrawFire, Inc. have been strong and consistent supporters, both in funding and in action.
Eric Mens, thank you for laying the foundation for Cape Fear Voices.

Gerald,
It was a pleasure to be part of this journey. The Teen Scenes’ success is and was a reflection of your vision, dedication, and belief in teen voices. You created something that informed, inspired, and brought young people together. Your work has made a lasting impact, and it will continue to shape and empower future generations. And with the addition of Cape Fear Voices, you gave a voice and outlet to so many talented adults.
The THANK YOU goes to you !!!
