This issue brings us a wide variety of adventures and news items. See what happens in the story by Chuck Bins about being shipwrecked on a remote island–or celebrate an interdimensional love story with Janet Stiegler. Want to play Pickleball? Read up on how to train for the sport with Kathleen Jablonski. Is golf your thing? See what Nicole Weller, Compass Pointe golf pro has to say.
We have several news events in this issue. If you haven’t heard about possible insurance rate hikes, read the story by Chuck Bins.
Make sure you see the article on the Rice Festival and also the tribute to our dear friend, George Beatty.
Be sure to check out our Annual Awards Banquet information. The banquet will be held on April 20 and tickets are $75.00. This is our only fundraiser for the year and we’d love to see you there.
If you haven’t seen our Teen Scene section in a while, take a look. We’ve added schools to our program, we have implemented a monthly writing competition among the schools and we are working on creating podcasts. Our international connection with students in Australia is going strong. We are learning that life “down under” is very different from North Carolina.
February is the month of love and we hope you love this issue.
