Just think, we have less than a month until our 4th Annual Awards Banquet. This issue features the nominees from both Cape Fear Voices and Teen Scene. Take a look at the details of the event and the auction items.
March 17 Update: The banquet is now sold out, but you may contact [email protected] or [email protected] to be placed on a waiting list. Thank you for your support.
This issues brings a variety of interesting stories. Do you enjoy history? Read the essay, “Water and Warfare,” by David Hume, III. Is mystery your thing? Doug Ensley is back with his story, “The Greatest Detective in History.”
Do you remember what it’s like to be a teenager, struggling to figure out your life? Flip over to Teen Scene and read, “I’m Just 17,” by Ianna from Heide Trask High School, and read about what’s on her mind.
Leland Middle School had a contest for the best poem for “Kindness Week,” which we proudly present to you.
And, finally, speaking of poetry, go on a mini vacation with Janet Stiegler, who spent some time in New Zealand recently. Her poem and photos make you want to pack up and go!
We hope you enjoy this issue and look forward to seeing you on April 20, at the 4th Annual Awards Banquet, our only fundraiser of the year.
