Spring Forward

Spring is in the air.
How beautiful to see.
Spring has finally arrived.
A welcomed change in pace and temperatures for me.

Spring is in the air.
New things will begin to bloom.
Spring is in the air.
For summer, I will make room.

Spring is in the air.
But I carry the heaviness of winter just before.
Spring is in the air.
And I reflect on how often I felt like I couldn’t take much more.

Spring is in the air.
And I welcome hopes of something new.
Spring is in the air.
And I am reminded of how much work there is still left to do.

Spring is in the air.
People are waiting to gain immunity.
Spring is in the air.
But I am still pondering, considering, reflecting on all these pandemics have done to me.
