There is special world, where I can escape,

When the one I’m living in, isn’t going great,

I jump on my bike and I go for a ride,

I become one with the breeze and the bright sunshine.

Nothing on my mind, out there all alone,

I lose all sense of time, I’ll be home when I’m home,

On the trails, not the city, is where I want to be,

If you think buildings are pretty, then you’ve not seen a tree.

Across fields and creeks, on dirt roads to nowhere,

Surrounded by nature’s beauty, with hardly a care,

It’s like you’re in your own world, with no one else there,

And you soon realize, all this world has to share.

When the times get tough, or you’ve had a bad day,

A relaxing ride on your bike, makes it all go away,

Running and walking I guess, are okay,

But the serenity of the ride will help you escape.

So, whether you ride when you have time,

Or, if you have to make the time to ride,

You’ll soon know exactly what I mean,

When I say:  “let the ride set you free”!

THE END
