The art of special effects makeup does not always get the recognition that it may deserve. Special effects makeup can have different forms based on who is doing it or what it is being done for. Some people like me prefer to create gore , including cuts, burns and sometimes includes props. 

Another example of special effects makeup is face paint. Face painting can include different designs such as monster makeup or other supernatural beings. This makeup can be on just the face or the model’s full body.

Personally I am better at the gore rather than the other. There are many different methods and different supplies that can be used for this art. While there are expensive and hard to use materials it  is  not that hard to find an affordable and easier method for it.

 For example when I was first learning how to create makeup art  I started with a very unprofessional method of Elmer’s glue  toilet paper and washable paints to make cuts and burns. This was not necessarily the best looking thing that I  have done but it was a learning curve and I definitely came a long way.
