Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at BC ECHS

A new display of Hispanic Heritage Month was posted at BC ECHS.

In front of Mrs. Leonard’s room at BC ECHS, students have recognized a new placement on the wall. This is no club poster or inspirational quote, however a tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month. The poster displays a Hispanic man and woman inside a frame of several flags of Hispanic countries.

Daniela Quezada, alongside Katie Cruz, Ava Robbins, and Ms. Smith have all contributed to making this board. I interviewed Daniela on her intentions of making this board and what it means to her. She stated, “I was inspired to start the board because I saw that they had a section for Hispanic Heritage Month at BCC Library and I was like why not make one for BC ECHS…It’s important to me because it is a month when we celebrate our culture.”

The board is a recognition piece to contribute to a culture important to many people, “but it could inform people that didn’t know about it!” Quezada says.
