Welcome to the Teen Scene Editor’s Corner! As we begin month two of 2025, we invite our readers to relax and read our selection of teen stories for February. With Valentine’s Day approaching, love is in the air.
Speaking of love, do you know how diamonds became “the ultimate symbol of love” as an engagement ring? Read “De Beers Diamond Deception” by Jack D. of William Clarke College, Sydney, Australia, to discover the answer from down under to us topsiders.
As promised last month, “Old Lady vs. Student – Part Two” by our Australian chief contributor, Sophie J., will update readers on her clever cliffhanger satirical story. Be sure to read Part One if you missed it!
Our above-the-doldrums Teen Scene Intern, Sophie H., Wilmington Christian Academy, entertains us with her creative writing, “Nothing and Nobody“ leaving us wondering if her lottery ticket story is fiction or non-fiction.
Brunswick County Early College High School writer, Gabriel H., gives us an earful of information in his personal story, “Deafness Awareness: My Journey” which may change the way we view those among us with similar invisible disabilities.
West Brunswick High School writer, Jaylynn B., entertains us with, “Time for a New Breakup Album” which highlights public versus private methods of handling a broken relationship. Perhaps it is time for a social media etiquette lesson.
You may read the remainder of our February Teen Scene stories shown below. We invite you to express your opinion in the “Leave a Comment” section at the bottom of each story. We want to hear from you!
