Or hit that winning “grand slam”,
He’s never scored a “hat trick”,
Or ever bowled a “perfect game”.
He’ll never have his picture,
In any “hall of fame”,
And not very many households,
Will ever know his name,
But the essence of a Winner,
Is giving all you’ve got,
He”s happy with who he is,
Doesn’t claim to be anything he’s not.
It’s his honesty and sportsmanship,
And his devotion to the game,
That make him What A Winner Is,
