The Leland VFW Post 12196 and Auxiliary are taking the lead on organizing this event. We feel this is the time our area celebrates this day instead of going somewhere else to enjoy the day and spend our money. Let’s keep it here and support our community.
The theme of the day is: “North Brunswick Is Prepared.”
From Scout Troops to active-duty military personnel, America and the Cape Fear are ready, willing, and able to meet any challenge.
The Sea Cadets have offered to perform some close-order drills, and I hope that one of the area JROTC programs and the National Guard can do the same.
There will be a couple of Humvees, Fire Trucks, and Police equipment on hand. I am hoping with the help of some of you to get more military vehicles on display.
We are working very closely with the Town of Belville to coordinate everything. We could use your input, suggestions, and volunteers. The program will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
