Brunswick Beer and Cider believes that “a rising tide lifts all boats.” In buying from local fishermen and supporting local entrepreneurs, we hope to keep revenue in the pockets of the people who are a part of our daily lives. In this way, we’re a big brewery, with a small-town mindset. Similarly, by investing in the critical work of human-service and environmental organizations, we believe we can help strengthen the Brunswick community as a whole—making it a better place to live, work and celebrate. To honor this, we are committed to donating 11% of proceeds from a revolving “give-back beer” to a different non-profit partner each month.
Why 11%? We were raised to believe that one should always give 10% of their income to the causes they believe in. Being hopeless overachievers, we thought we’d “do-em one extra” by giving 11% because…well, why not?
How it works:
Brunswick Beer and Cider will choose a “give-back beer” each month to pair with that month’s selected community partner. In partnership with the organization, we will promote their mission throughout the month in tandem with the selected beer. At the end of the month, we will donate 11% of the proceeds from that month’s “give-back” beer to the organization. Then in December (the season of giving), 11% of proceeds from those beers will go towards supporting the (11) non-profit partners selected for that year. Brunswick Beer and Cider will select our community partners based on information provided through the attached application.
Selection Criteria:
There are A LOT of nonprofit organizations in Leland worth their salt. We really wish we could support them all, but until we’re brewing at the same capacity as the big guys, we can’t donate to everyone. Instead, we’ve chosen to primarily give funds for general-operating support to organizations whose mission focuses on youth-development or environmental impact. Please consider this when applying for our giving program. We also really value relationships with the organizations we partner with and take that into account when choosing which organizations to support.
We request that organizations interested in partnering with Brunswick Beer and Cider in our upcoming 2025 giving-cycle please complete the attached application by December 31st 2025 and return it via email to [email protected]. For questions or additional information please do not call or stop by the brewery—please communicate with Brewery only via email at [email protected]

Is this a nonprofit organization? (Please attach a copy of your certification.)
Briefly describe the mission of your organization.
In what way does your organization work to either: serve at-risk youth in Brunswick County, and/or promote environmental stewardship?
While we cannot guarantee a specific month or beer to an organization, do you have a preference for which month your organization would be designated as BBC’s 11% partner?
We have had the most success in generating donations for organizations that share in marketing their giving program. If selected, in what ways could your organization help promote the partnership (i.e. designing and printing table tents, sharing social media posts, etc.) during your designated month?
If selected, would you be willing to talk to our staff about your organization prior to your designated fundraising month in order to educate them about your work?
Brunswick Beer and Cider is happy to waive all rental fees/purchase minimums for nonprofits who would like to host a fundraising event or meeting in our event space/beer garden during their designated fundraising month on a Monday or Tuesday. Does your organization have any interest in utilizing the event space? If so, please briefly describe the event/meeting.
Please understand that these events/meetings are subject to the spaces’ availability and prior approval is required. An organization’s interest in hosting an event in our space will have no bearing on consideration for becoming one of our nonprofit partners.
