How do you let go of something you love? How do you change your routine after years of enjoying every minute of it? And how do you say goodbye to something that changed your life? I don’t know the answers to those questions, but I’m about to find out. Cape Fear Voices/Teen Scene will cease operations as of December 31, 2025. We will remain online for a few months so you can still read your favorite stories one last time.
I found Cape Fear Voices four years ago. I’ve published my story over and over. I always wanted to be a writer and Cape Fear Voices gave me the opportunity to be one. I have met some wonderful people in the community along the way and have associated with very talented writers.
I got involved with our area teens and teachers in our middle and high schools. The teens were amazing and full of energy. The teachers were overworked, underpaid and grateful for the assistance that Teen Scene brought to them and their students. The memories that this organization has given to me are priceless.
But things come to an end, and it is time for us. I thank all of our talented writers and our dedicated readers. I hope that Cape Fear Voices/Teen Scene has published things that made you laugh, made you think and made you aware.
Thank you all for your support over the years.

Thank you, Jan, for always being there to make this happen. I know this has been a labor of love for you, and it certainly showed in all your editing, cajoling, teaching, planning, and, most of all, in putting up with me. You’re the best!
