Greetings! We hope that this message finds you and your families safe and healthy! We also hope that you have enjoyed each issue of Cape Fear Voices – either online or in hard-copy.

As the Editors of the monthly free papers, Cape Fear Voices and The Teen Scene, we are preparing to host our first “Writers Award Banquet.” The event is tentatively scheduled (pending North Carolina COVID-19 restrictions existing at the time) for 5 pm on Saturday, April 10, at Blossoms Restaurant in Magnolia Greens, Leland, NC. We will be recognizing some of our top writers for the year and sponsors. We will also recognize our teen writers and the area schools that are making the effort to participate in our teen-writing program. Currently, we are soliciting sponsors for the awards banquet.

If you decide to be an event sponsor, we will identify you as an event sponsor on our website, in the next edition of Cape Fear Voices, and on the event program. We do ask that donations start at a minimum of $100. You will be able to designate that your donation be directed to support local schools and their efforts to have a page in The Teen Scene. Money designated to The Teen Scene portion will also be used to build our future scholarship award program for our teen writers.

Make your check payable to Cape Fear Voices and mail it to PO Box 495, Leland, NC 28451. If you wish to direct your donation to a specific school or to scholarships, please annotate the memo portion of the check as appropriate. As a reminder, we are registered with the IRS as a non-profit 501(c)3. Your donation is tax-deductible if you choose to do so.
