The 5th annual Cape Fear Voices/Teen Scene awards banquet is officially a memory! And it was a good one.
If you haven’t attended one of our banquets, please try to get there next year. We honor our seasoned writers and highlight the work our teens have done for the past school year.
In this issue, Maryann Nunnally honors her mom’s wisdom, while David Hume tells us about the strength of his grandmother. We pause and remember those we have lost and we take a trip up to and down from heaven. It’s a wild journey and well worth the read.
The Teen Scene interns wrote about the banquet and their experiences with our organization. All of our interns are amazing students with lofty goals that I’m sure their will achieve.
We welcome a new writer to our group, Genevieve Olsen, her writing is crisp and colorful. Check out her story about spring.
