The 2022 Midterm Elections are probably the most important in American History. America is divided into two groups, The Republicans and The Democrats. Many Republican voters’ biggest concern was rapid inflation, while many Democratic voters’ largest concern was reproductive rights. Gas prices and crime rates are also another heavily weighted problem America is dealing with right now and that can be seen in the pollings.

Millions of Americans cast their ballots, either in person or by mail to make their voices heard! Many news outlets have called projected winners in the Senate and House races, however, we won’t know who won for several days (or even weeks)!

The Georgia Senate race looks as if it may take a while to determine a winner as the race is too close to be called. Georgia has what’s known as the 50% rule, where no candidate can win an election without at least 50% of the votes. This close race will likely cause a runoff that could go into mid-December!

So, this major election will most likely not produce any accurate results for some time. One thing’s for sure though and that’s that this midterm election matters to American Democracy!
